Email is still one of the most powerful Internet-based tools when you consider that virtually everyone who goes online has one. Using email to its potential however is still a challenge for many people. The following videocasts provide you with some simple rules of the road when it comes to the use of email to engage groups of people. Of course the themes also relate in many cases to emails you might send to a single person. I hope you find them helpful.
I’m into creation of high impact online content
that requires a minimum of capacity to produce. Development of screencasts using FREE tools like Jing and Screencast.com make this easy. What is a screencast you ask. It is simply a digital recording of your computer
screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration. You are probably wondering how it can be used to raise money. Below is a sample screencast that I just created for a client that is making a pitch to potential corporate donors later this week.
WAIT A FEW SECONDS FOR THE SCREENCAST IMAGE TO POP UP BELOW THIS TEXT.
THEN CLICK ON THE BIG ARROW - PLEASE WAIT 5-10 SECONDS AND THE SCREENCAST WILL START. It could take longer.
What kind of capacity do I need to expend to do this?
Together with Bellanet, USAID, the Association for Progressive Communications and others we created the 'Building Electronic Communities an Networks' web-based curriculum for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The module covers the approaches, methods, and tools used to build
electronic communities as well as the steps and procedures for
developing and facilitating electronic communities. TIt contains 29 lessons, ranging from approximately 15 to 90
minutes duration, grouped into five units, for a total of about 16 to
22 hours of self-paced instruction. You can use it to help you build, nurture and sustain your online community. It walks you step by step from assessment to implementation.
