Last week I had the pleasure to facilitate the LVSC CASCADE Network conference. Below are four short videos from participants who took part in small group discussions.
Last week I led a session for a group of amazing communication professionals in London that are a part of the Cascade Network . The session's focus was evaluating e-newsletter success. What follows are the audio clips from the session. Give part 1 about 30 seconds to load up before you click on the play arrow. Though the audio quality is good, it was a face-to-face session so I'm not sure how useful it'll be to you. Let me know! There are some good things raised in the session but again, audio just doesn't do justice to what we did face to face.
You may find the Newsletter Impact worksheet I used with the attendees to do some on-the-spot classwork helpful. Email me if you'd like to know more about how we used this worksheet.
I like simple! I like to use inquiry based learning. I like
synergy! So this tool
is simple, asks you to ask questions and connects the dots between strategic communications information flow and engagement of core stakeholders. If you need a Word version of it to customize just let me know. Ciao4Now - Marc
Email is still one of the most powerful Internet-based tools when you consider that virtually everyone who goes online has one. Using email to its potential however is still a challenge for many people. The following videocasts provide you with some simple rules of the road when it comes to the use of email to engage groups of people. Of course the themes also relate in many cases to emails you might send to a single person. I hope you find them helpful.
Back in 2008 I facilitated a process with a network in the UK to unearth effective practices related to email strategy. 40 out of the 80 network members completed a survey which is how we kicked off the online learning exercise. Though the two resources that I share in this post are helpful, my primary reason for sharing is that this was a great and simple way to engage an audience, gather information from them, aggregate and synthesize it and share it back.
* Survey Results Summary - I think that taking survey result like this and turning it into a resource in and of itself is simple and useful. The data and comments could be used in grant proposals, in presentations you do or to help you make decisions on email strategy.
* Email Tools and Strategy: Things to Keep in Mind Fact Sheet. - This resource came from the survey results and some online discussions we stimulated when we initially released the survey data. Again, it is a good resource in and of itself but also gives you a very concrete example of the kind of value added resources your community may appreciate.
